about root

if i root my phone xperia zr   is that root will stop me to take any apps updates and system update????

You can update apps and other stuff but considering major system updates you won't be able to update your phone through OTA(Over The Air) that is,  you can't update by using your phone's update center app but you still can update through PC Companion but you will lose your root after updating.  I hope i have helped you..
