Facebook camera gone?

I'm not a facebook fan but a few weeks ago I received a facebook update, and I got the facebook camera I even took couple pictures with it. I was reading about it couple days ago that it was just released to iOS, I'd checked my phone but it's gone (I did repaired my phone 2 weeks ago or so). has anyone has this facebook camera on their Xperia S/Xperia? did FB leaked the camera ?

The Facebook Camera app was not included in the latest facebook update. to many had complainded about extra apps

I agree I don't want more bloatware, I just wonder if it's the same app that its not released to iOS and has never been released before or was it an add-on from Sony facebook inside xperia.

The Camera was a shortcut to a certain 'part' of the regular Facebook. The functionality is still there if you go into the regular app, and press the gray "Photo" button on top.

Users complained about the extra shortcuts (that is all they were, not 'bloatware), so Facebook removed all of them in the next update.

This Camera functionality is not the same as the Camera app recently released for iOS devices. The iOS FB Camera app has a lot of filters and other fun stuff that comes with it, the Android version has nothing special. The only thing it does is help you tag people more easily, which was almost impossible before on Android devices.

I wonder if now that fb bought Instagram, Instagram will no longer exists?

I doubt that. Most Instagram users are Twitter users, and Facebook really wouldn't want to lose out on that market share. I think almost 20% of the posts in my Twitter feed are Instagram posts.
