Exchange Email problem

New Xperia Z1 phone, Zimbra Exchange Email Account. Emails get downloaded, but no text is shown when opening mails.

It works perfectly on Xperia Z tablet!

I also have the same problem using the exchange protocol to access my account at t-online, one of the biggest provider here in Germany. I don't expect them to reconfigure their server.

Actualy XPERIA SP doesn't work with Kerio either. It stopped working with an upgrade to 4.3...

I have sony xperia sp and sinc updat to android 4.3, I have problems with my exchange mail. The sender and the title is shown, but I can see no text. So no body text in the e-mail.

Please sony, fix it.

I found a solution. I hope it's temporary and Sony will correct the issue...

I installed a stock email klient (including exchange sync program) form android 4.4. It needs to install 2 files: calendar.apk, and com.google.android.exchange-6.0-893803.apk. It works briliant, except address book, it doesn't work fine with a stock sync program.

Finaly I found, I need to sync e-mails and callendar using stock android apk (com.google.android.exchange-6.0-893803.apk), and address book using an old one (from sony android 4.3).

It workswithout rooting.

You are rolling out an update to 4.3 for SP just recently here in Germany, knowing about this problem?
After the update I cannot access my corporate mails anymore. I need this feature. It worked before the update and works on all other phones. This is disappointing and bad customer support. This is not a server -side issue. Please solve this soon!

Since my wife got the 4.3 Update for her Xperia Z, same problem. We now need to buy a third party solution. Worked just fine before the update.

My Xperia Z1 never worked without third party app. I was hoping this would change with the update...

Problem is with a zarafa server running z-push. Last Sony statement I read: they are right because they implemented like the specification said...

Most things work I think but I have not tested much, because email isn't working at all.

Thinking about to modify my z-push installation to fit the Sony standard, but I have to watch out that I do not break compatibility with other devices... For example with iOS, Windows Phone, Windows 8.x,...

There were some hints to do so. Maybe next version of z-push will adress the problem with Sony devices. i noticed something in the changelog for next release. Maybe other services will do the same.

Yeah MS Exhange may be the platform Sony tested with. But there are several other solutions which use the Active Sync Protocol. They have even licensed it.

For Zarafa/z-push I got it working now by using the latest beta of z-push (2.1.2beta1796)

Hi, today i get my brand new z1 compact, i tried to configurate my mail accounts over active sync, and was suprised that it doesn't work. I had before a sony xperia SP - and there was no problem. We use a Kerio Connect Mail Server.

In the Server logs stands: ASyncItemOperations.cpp: Unable to parse request from mobile device. Unknown options tag (ID: 0x1410), device: SonyD5503,SonyD5503/4.3-EAS-1.4, user: xxx@xxx.xxx, IP address: xxxx

I tried to configure Kerio in the mailserver.cfg to <variable name="AllowUnsupportedDevices">1 or 0</variable> ... doesn't matter. Also when i only configure an IMAP Account on the z1 compact to my mailserver i see the subjects bu't can't open the email body ... the phone says can't connect to server ... the contacs from my cerio account seems to sync correctly, also the calendar ... e-mails i get but can't open. Please sony people ... solve this stupid issue ... i bougt an 500 EUR phone and there is a bug in the syncaplication modified by sony. All other phones samsung galaxy s4 mini, htc one mini, sony xperia sp, htc radar windows mobile etc. works correctly ....
