Exchange Email problem

New Xperia Z1 phone, Zimbra Exchange Email Account. Emails get downloaded, but no text is shown when opening mails.

It works perfectly on Xperia Z tablet!

I have the same problem with my xperia sp 4.3 and zimbra 8.07 enterprise no answer from sony support

I FIND CLOUDMAGIC on the playstore , seems to work fine ... for mail( i keep calendar and contact on standard activesync)

Hi, i have problems with Kerio and Exchange too, problem is in Kerio Connect, not in Sony phone, in Kerio Connect 8.x you must set in options: Allow to connect unsupported devices, now it works like charm... ( changing config file do nothink, only option in web admin worked )

I belive in Kerio Connect < 8 it is in settings config file like you wrote.

Update: looks like Mail app have problem, or those idi*ts in Kerio with version of Exchange, not sure version use Sony, but the use 12 instead of 14 😕

I cant download attachments from mail, Kerio ends with this:

MailBoxItemFetchOperations contains more than one response !?

hi,

i also have an issue with Exchange and sony's email app.

when trying to reply to an email the message won't send if i keep the original message attachment ticked.

if i un-check it the mail will send as it should.

if i leave the check so the original message will be attached the message will sit for ever in outbox

cloud magic is a good alternative but it is limited in accounts and cannot send rich test - only simple text.

any ideas ?

Well seems like the Z2 and Z3 has some problems with contacts and calendar when connecting to Altn Mdaemon.

First it was emails, now its calendar and contacts.

I am getting multiple forcible resyncs of emails, and even tough I have only 2 Avtivesync contacts. 1 on the server and one on the phone it doesnt sync.

When you sync it will first sync emails and then contacts and calendar. If you have selected to sync an interval that contains alot of emails it may take some time before it gets to contacts and calendar. Try decreasing the time interval for email sync and see what happens.

Hello support,

For some time I have had the following problem:
After switching my xperia on I get the following messages. They will be repeated many times before they stop coming (which is rather annoying).
Messages:
- "Austauschdienste wurden beendet " (the language on the xperia is German, literally this messages in English would be "exchange services were stopped".) This messages comes many times after switching on.
- android.services.process.acore stopped
As far as I am informed this seems to be a problem with ActiveSync synchronizing contacts. I synchronise emails, contacts and the calender with an account at t-online (German provider) using the exchange services.
The problems started some time ago.

There is a bug in Sony ActiveSync (Exchange) email since Android 4.3 (same on KK) on every device. If you want to synchronize conacts and calendar, you need to install a paid application, ora google stock apps.

Hi,

i've update to lollipop 5.02 version and the exchange protocol keep same problem.

i've tested outlook app , nine client and all working fine with exchange protocol but for me the best client is gmal or stock email app.

i don't understand why sony not integrate into new gmail app the  new exchnage protocol and use the old driver.

i've forced to load  com.google.android.gm.exchange-6.5-1520254-500064-minAPI14.apk this drive enable exchange protocol but have a problem with the calendar function because duplicate the event.

is not possible with  sony not fix this problem and continues to bear the blame to other.

my server is ICEWARP  this company uficially paid microsoft  for implement exchange. PLEASE FIX! or release the apk update driver.

ps: my phone is Z3C

Hi and welcome to the community!

Sorry to hear that you have issues with ActiveSync.

We are aware of some issues when you synchronize with Icewarp. This has been investigated and we have found that the issue is that Icewarp doesn't follow the ActiveSync protocol correctly. But you may not notice issues with all clients depending on what features they support so as you say, using another client may be a workaround.
