Hello,

How fast is your quick launch mode on your xperia p? (from sleep to capture)

Mine takes 3 to 5 sec before it captures a photo. Tried reparing with pc companion

but nothing happened.

And it has been 2 weeks since i got my xperia p but the bottom cap

Of my XP is a bit loose on the right side. I can hear it creak. I dont put

My phone in my pocket. Nor taking the cap off. I always have a case for

My phone. I dont know how that happened since the other side of the cap

Is not loose nor creaking. I dont know what to do. It's annoying.

Sometimes when i play a game or open an app it crashes.

To everyone who has the creaking issue/non perfect fitting of the base cap.

I got my phone a couple of weeks back.Started facing this issue some 3 days back. Took it to the service center.Apparently they aren't allowed to fiddle with the device as of yet as the spares/parts havent come in yet!

They told me that the cap is designed to be a little loose coz it is removable and the wear and tear over time will cause this!

In a couple of weeks ? That was a little disheartening to hear.

So what did I do to fix it without voiding the warranty ?

*Remove the base cap (I have the red phone,sexy color it is )
*Tear off 2 small pieces of paper(worked for me) and place it tightly against the 2 vertical edges of the phone.Then insert the cap back on.You might need to try this a couple of times but once it's in,the cap feels really secure and tight now.No creaking of any sort.I know its just a workaround but it beats feeling the creaking and shaking of the cap anyday.

Also please make sure you don't block the microphone area.Also paper doesnt seem to hamper the network reception in anyway.And as far as I know this doesn't void the warranty as well.

Please let me know if there are any issues with anything I 've mentioned above!

Also,has anyone actually got firmware updates ? Any considerable fixes made ?

Thanks for this simple solution, tried it and it work.

but can you look at the back of your phone,

can you check the transparent band if it is aligned with the phone's body?

cause mine is not, the right side of the back is aligned but the middle and the left side is not.

the aluminum body of the phone is higher than the transparent band. But the right side is aligned. i will take pictures and put it here maybe later or tomorrow. when i get a clear shot.

i am in india too, connect your phone, it will get updated through pc companion, the update fixes performance issues i guess. my music no longer hangs now..... neenamark score jumped from 29 to 31 fps....

i got update on my xperia P,

got my benchmark score higher than before..

But still my cap is loose!!! hahah

I used Quadrant Benchmark and CF-Bench.

before the update my phone is at the 2nd lowest in the score.

now it improved but not that great, ill post screenshots.
