Data overage on Xperia Z3V

According to Verizon, I've used up more than 4 Gigabytes of data in April, and already used 5 this month. I've done everything I can to restrict data usage (disable background data, turn off mobile data, and enable Extended Standby in Stamina Mode), but for some reason my Xperia is still consuming data over my cellular network! I'm at home often, and I have Wi-Fi there. I'm connected to it all the time, and I have a strong signal, so I'm not sure why my phone keeps eating through my data. Has anyone else had a problem like this? I'm about to see if I can get a replacement, but if this problem is going to happen again I'll just go back to Samsung, which is a dang shame, as I really like this phone.

Why don't you set a limit and mobile data will be disabled when you cross that limit? Do you have auto updates all the time on google play?

I dont see a reason to replace your device.  It doesn't seem faulty of the device. Like alex said,  you should set a data limit.  Also if you think the device is counting the dats used wrongly,  try doing a software repair,  it should smooth all things!

Have you sent and received a lot of MMS? (pictures or videos) not through whatsapp but through the messaging app?

@Stikymess

go to settings > data usage

what has used up your data?

That was the first thing I did after turning off Mobile Data. But even after that, I was still getting billed for data over Verizon's network that I wasn't using. Auto-Update is set for Wi-Fi only on Google Play as well. But that isn't the problem. The problem is that I'm billed for going over the plan, even though I don't use data over Cellular very often. My Xperia reads that I've used a little over 56 Megabytes of data, but I'm getting billed for using 5 Gigabytes of data. That's 3 gigs over my limit, and I just got a text warning that I'm about to roll over to a fourth data extension. Not sure what, but somewhere there's a problem on my phone and it really needs to be solved.
I haven't had this problem on my old phone. I have the same apps (half of which I haven't even opened yet), but for some reason I'm billed like this. Could a software repair fix this?

Well,you can try. Also location and GPS use a lot of data.

@Stikymess

But do you have a family plan and/or any dongle to have data on your tablet or computers etc?
