4.3 update - bluetooth car functionality

Since updating my Z1 to 4.3 via the OTA update the integration to my car has become almost unuseable. the phone is recognised and the car can 'see' the network name. It also imports the contacts but not the call lists. Car controls are unuesable to control phone.

I can make a call if dialled from the phone, and the audio / mic works fine. I can't use the car controls to end the call.

This was all fine on android 4.2.something but it is not workingin 4.3 build 14.2.A.0.920 this is well documented across the web as being an issue withthe bluetooth stack and not a car needing an update / compatibility issue. please advise how quickly you can either:

1. issue a fix by updating . rolling back the bluetooth stack so it works correctly,

OR

2. Tell me how i can roll back the OS on my phone to the previous version so i can continue using my phone with the car in a LEGAL way, until you or Google recognise, diagnose and resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Martin

hmmm no update from Sony.

Should this be the xperia 'dont really' care support forum?

Unfortunately we are unable to confirm specific date for any particular firmware release due to the nature of the approval process.. For further information regarding the approval process please see here.

Thanks Sam. ICS is old hat now. I would still like an answer to my question. How do I roll back to a version of jellybean (4.2.something) until the newer build of 4.3 is released that will hopefully fix the Bluetooth connectivity issue?

Oh, and 'you' certified the new build on 23rd December, per my link, so why is it taking do long to push out when so many people are reporting issues?

There are unfortunately no supported methods to roll back your firmware. If you would like a more updated explanation behind the update approval process please see here as this should answer you following question:

Thanks Sam. Disappointing I can't roll back and I'm stuck with a device that is unusable for long periods of time (when m in the car). Hopefully the new build of 4.3 will hit UK consumers and carriers soon.

try to connect via "throw".

I was noticing the same behaviour with my bt earphone, and i solved not only with the pairing, but also using "throw" for it.

Now when i connect, the throw blue icon comes out and the earphone works in correct way.
