Bluetooth and Wifi Issues

In the last few weeks I've been experiencing frequent issues with my bluetooth and wifi.  My phone forgets my bluetooth headset and I have to resync to get it to work.  As well with my wifi it will have authentication issues with my router.  I often have to restart my phone to fix both the bluetooth and the wifi issues.

This is getting extremely frustrating.  I only bought this phone at the end of August and it's already having issues.

I'm running 42.A.0.4. 167 and am still having issues with it dropping out, so no, the latest update probably won't fix your issues.

Of course I hope it does, but my experience says otherwise.

It is sad to know Sony is not willing to solve this problem. My current alternative is

1. Remember to turn off Bluetooth after using it.

2. When wifi fails,  turn on then off airplane mode

Feel bad for above two extra actions...

Same network for me. Initally, it looked OK, just as rebooting the device would. In reality, this update is just a security patch, so it has no effect on this function.

same issues here on my XA1 ultra and wifes XA1. Sony needs to fix these issues. These phone are uselss if you ahve to reboot to access bluetooth and wifi every time. what a waste of money

My phone has the same connectivity issues. Everytime I leave my home wifi if I don't restart my phone there is no data connection, even when the phone settings shows it being active. This is so unacceptable and I've been too busy to fight the system trying to get this resolved. I've factory reset my phone as well with nothing getting solved. Just a WASTE of time.

It is interesting to see that I am supposed to be at the latest release per Sony with version 40.0.A6.175. 

I also have issues with bt and recently wifi. My issues are somewhat different. When I do connect, it is stable. The only wifi connection that I have a problem is with my new car. I connect once to my car and when I disconnect to connect with my home wifi, it works fine. When I try to reconnect to my car, it just don’t work. I have to reboot. I will now try what people have suggested in this thread. 

As for bt, I have issues with battery packs when trying to connect more that 2. After pairing 4 batteries, when I start the application, only 2 or 3 batteries randomly connect. 

Very annoying. 

I am seriously thinking switching to an Apple phone, I never had problem like this.

Recently saw Sony is advertising the new XA2 phones. Previously I would be very excited to get my hands on new sony phones but not anymore…

I was fortunate to return the phone where I purchased it from.

My newph had lend me his Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (3yrs old phone) and WOW is it fun!! I never used their products until now and their phones works well productively and playing graphic intense games (also comes with option to modify phone performance for each game). Boy oh boy, if not for this experience I would never know how much I missed outside of Sony mobile products.

I had been a loyal Sony fan and being using their home entertainment products when possible, but with the experience I had with this XA1 ultra from Sony I am no longer such.

I am enjoying my non-Sony phone so much I might just purchase the new Samsung flagship instead.

I might not remember about this issue in the future but FOR SURE I will remember the experience that Sony had provided (which is none) with this phone… It would play a major role in my future purchases for all Sony products.

I was given an experia xa1 ultra for christmas and it was great til couple days ago...i can NOT make calls or recieve calls but the texting and internet work. i brought it the store it was bought from and the cellular carrier store and niether can figure what issue is. anyone else have this issue? what is the solution if so? i called tech service also with no luck. this is not an inexpensive phone and it should be reliable longer than 1 1/2 months. anyone with clues please tell

I can no longer connect to my car Network. I even removed the network and reconnect from scratch, rename the network, without success. Tried the airplane off/on, rebooting, turn wifi off/on, nothing is working anymore. 

Any one have a clue before I give up and switch phone?

My girlfriends phone has the same problem, the WiFi just seems to freeze on almost a daily basis when contacted to my BT router, only solution is to reset the phone, we have 6 other phones in the house, non of them have issues on wifi, it's very frustrating as I recommended this phone to my girlfriend, Sony have just gone from bad to worse with regards to acknowledging issues with thier handsets, never again.
