Hi Guys,
Anyone facing this issue? I use Nougat 7.0 before. Since I upgrade to Nougat 7.1.1, the battery life is worse.
Same here.
I have the same problem. I addition when i use bluetooth headphones my device gets very hot because of the huge current drain from the battery. What do we do ?? Can we some how contact Sony, so they can fixe the problem ?
Same here! It's frustrating!
Woke up, went to work and when I looked at my phone during my break, 4 hours later, there was 15% left... I activated plane mode (stamina was already on). At lunch time, there was 4% left so I closed it.
To be honnest, I'm looking to change this phone as it seems to get even worst with time instead of impoving.
I'm having the same issue.
I cannot have a full day anymore on a single charge

Above was issue on 7.0. Now drain is worse in 7.1.1 update. I should go back to 6.0. Phone is at 13% after work. Remember it being at 60 with marshmallow. Weirdly there is no obvious culprit in battery usage. Looks exactly the same as before. Makes me think it's calibration issue.
I was hoping this was something temp cause just applied. Sigh.
Same issue observed from my end also. Request IT team to look into it and provide fis as soon as possible.
Hmmm so that's the reason no OTA upgrade of my device from 7.0 to 7.1.1 upgrade??? in the Netherlands
Hi guys contacted Sony about this. It's not their issue, it's Google's.
My experience:
Marshmallow 6.0.1
Insane battery life. Beyond reasonable. Would take a long time before dropping from 100 to 99. Giggled maniacally over owning such a perfect device. Had never heard of Phone Idle.
Nougat 7.0
End of perfection. End of nuclear power. Phone Idle begins it's infected reign as number two battery consumer, also on as long as phone is. No more 18 hours left at 11pm, more like time to order Qualcomm 2.0 quick charger.
Nougat 7.1.1
The saviour was actually in cahoots. Phone Idle not vanquished. Builds vacation home in my settings and invites Android System and OS to come by and party anytime. Which they have.
Based on all this and having spoken to US support just now, it's kinda obvious it's a Google problem.
Nothing else has changed. I told Sony Support that Google Support was the antichrist. Whereas a real person arrives from Sony after making only two choices, Google Support involves endless forum threads with SME appointees pretending they pal with product owners. Questions and updates are sucked into a black hole. Real persons do not exist. Google long ago replaced with self driving developers. We just don't understand the benefits.
Btw battery went from 78 to 66 typing that above missive. The phone is Google first and does not take diss lightly.
