Just switched on the phone and realized that some unknown icons were appearing in the menu. When selected, they say 'Application not Found.'
Though some of the labels are Apps I installed, and their normal icons come back after sometime, but some unknown icons saying android, pro, alpha etc. remain.
See the Screenshot for more info.
I have done virus scan by BitDefender, Eset, Avast [Mobile Version], No Virus Found.

Ok so 0.73 update didn't fix anything. The problem is caused by the time taken in mounting the "SD Card". So I made a workaround.
Might help others as well:-
Marked my own answer as correct answer but didn't get the points, very bad.
Again try to restart mobile
Its due to apps been moved to external memory
Or did you format your mobile's memory
Moved them to External Memory yesterday.
Restarted several time, Problem still exists.
[The Apps icons [Like Firefox, Evernote etc.] get back to normal after sometime of using phone but some other icons with weird label stay.]
Thats strange...
Try moving all apps to phone memory and then again to memory card...
Could be a problem with meta data
What, no need to move them to external memory at it is EAXCTLY the same as internal.
Remember there is no SD card on SXS.

LOL
Are you confused my friend ?
Xperia S has 1-1.5 GB internal memory and 32GB external memory that is built in ( no memory card ) and is known as Flash memory (eMMC) and no way it is called as internal memory or it is internal memory
Man,
Moved them all to Phone memory and those things disappeared but then again moved them to external memory and voila, they reappear...
if you're on a rooted phone, i would ask you to clear the dalvik cache. but i guess you're not.
so next option would be to reset data setting or even a factory reset. just make sure you backup everything first.
***before that, try clearing the cache for Xperia Home Launcher. To do that, go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Xperia Home, and click "clear cache". See if it works. If not, try "Clear Data" as well.
Zann.H , for your information its not possible to root Xperia S until you install a pre rooted Rom...
as005, move everything important from your mobile to PC as a backup While move all the apps to phone memory and erase your external memory ( settings > storage )
Then send the stuff back from pc to mobile and see if you are able to make it.
It should solve the problem
It's possible, as long as u unlock the bootloader :smileylaugh:. And you can still run the stock rom.
