Roaming symbol stays in the screen

Hello,

I have disabled all provider data transfer services because I just want to use wifi connections. However the roaming symbol stays on screen and doesn't switch to only high signal symbol, I want to be sure that I won't be downloading through a 3g or any other type of provider data mobile networks. Is there a way to correct this?

roaming icon does not have anything to do with network internet..

if you  want to use only wifi and not 3g..

go to settinngs > wireless and networks > mobile networks > and untick data enabled..

now you can only access internet through wifi..

Thank you, what may be the reasons I am getting this icon on screen? I'm asking because at some point the phone notified me to have a happy travel, even though I had not taken any flights, after that point I have the symbol on screen. Thank you again!
