Having trouble with Android Market

Help! i can't connect my phone to the android store powered by google play.
when i click "Install" of a app with my computer a pop-up message says that i have to connect my phone to the server by choosing the white shopping bag app icon in the phone's menu.
in that app i entered my e-mail address(which is the same address as this account) and password and then clicked "sign-in"
but after about 2 minutes it say's "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server"

but i can surf through the internet by using the browser in the phone so it can't be a problem with my internet connection isn't it?
what should i doooooo?
p.s- my phone is xperia mini pro

if you have android 2.3.4 press and hold the power button -> tap on screenshot

if you have 4.0 press and hold BOTH power button & volume down

is it ok to update into ICS?
if yes which should i use, pc companion or update app in the phone

i have 2.3.3 so it doesn't work?
and what's "->" you mentioned? there's no a arrow in my touch screen when i hold power buttton.

that's odd that you have 2.3.3 and not 2.3.4, run SUS or PCC and update

when i hold power buttton there comes a menu with 3 options.

1. power off

2. airplane mode

3. silent mode

and no "screen shot"

As soon as i enered this thread and i saw the answer as correct

I  was like

You will have to use pc companion as you can't update to ICS through Update center app of mobile

you can use SUS as well

And it's you wish to update to ICS

I am on ICS and it works quite fine

Or since you are new to gingerbread as well, use it for a month OR SO and then later upgrade to ICS
