Cannot delete pictures on my xperia u

I have downloaded pictures on mozilla firefox for android browser
i have then cleared the downloads in mozilla.. whe i enter my gallery .. i can still see the pictures that i have downloaded but i can't delete them, there is no option to delete. please help.. How can i delete these pictures?

Try to download a file explorer and look for your files.You might also want to try clearing data for media storage in settings-apps-all,followed by a restart.

You probably have a folder to do with pictures that has a file that says Thumbnails - You need to delete this file and then let your Gallery update itself and your issue should be solved - You may have a folder called Firefox with this file in or it could be the main one in Pictures
