Power and volume buttons stuck?

Power and volume buttons stuck?

Hello there.

I am experiencing a very annoying problem with my Xperia V that I purchased about a year ago.

The problem is that my power button aswell as the volume buttons (in other words all the buttons on the side of the phone) are acting as if they were always pressed down!

So I can't shut my phone off without taking the battery out, but when I do take the battery out it just restarts because the button is stuck in some way. (even though I can press it down without anything happening)

Thus it will enter safety mode so all my apps are hidden/gone.

And once the screen goes black I can't unlock it without taking the battery out again or putting a charger cable in.

I hope I made my problem clear enough, please reply ASAP.

Thank you.

How does it work in safe mode? The same?

Yeah, it just acts like I'm holding them down at the same time even though I don't.

For example when I try to change to volume it just instantly changes it back because the opposite button is also in effect.

If both normal and safe mode have the same effect, there is no app acting up.Do you have any case for the phone?Anything that could make this issue occur?

No just the phone itself, with the original cover on the back.

The problem began occuring as I took the phone with me in the shower 2 days ago because I was texting som friends in the app 'kik'.

Seeing as the phone is waterproof I thought it would be okay, but could anything have happend there?

Yes,it coud be.Did you let your phone dry after that?It is not recommended connecting it to charger if wet.

I dried it off with a towel and maybe 5-10 minutes later connected it to the charger, but it was indeed after connecting it to the charger that the problem started occurring.
