Got the phone just 10 days ago and I'm already facing a major problem with it. After shooting a 10 minutes long video I got a message the internal memory is full and the camera stopped recording. Everything was good except the phone working a little bit slower so I decided to restart it. And that killed it. The phone starts, displays the Sony logo, then the Android one, then a blue loading screen appears and that's all - it hungs every time I do it. I still don't have very important data stored in the internal memory so decided to do a hard reset. For my surprise the phone won't boot the recovery mode neither. This is the first phone I've ever seen that is unable to load the recovery mode. Anyway, let's assume I don't press the right key combination so please let me know if you are a 100% sure which keys should be pressed. Thanks!

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
If that fails then I'm sorry to hear this but you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Thanks, that worked!
When I downloaded the software and started it, the process was going very slowly and I thought it was going to take ages to complete. Anyway, 30 minutes later the phone was working again. I hope I won't have to go through this every time something goes wrong.
Thanks for your help, your solotuion saved me!
Hi

Hi atscrase!
Sorry to hear you have a problem with your phone.
Can you please send me you error logs so I can forward them to the development team.
Here’s how to get error logs from Sony Bridge for Mac:
1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Xperia" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start
2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...
3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the ”Xperia” menu. Select "Export logs"
4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip
5. PM a shared dropbox link to me.
Best regards
Fredrik

Hi Fredrik_L
I had the same problem as Sylar1718 one month ago, appears a black screen and apparently nothing works. After I investigate and I see that the Xperia Theft Protection was enabled but the buttons of "Autenticate", "Activate Wi-fi" and "Emergency call" are not displayed. I made a system repair using PC Companion, after that, the buttons are displayed perfectly and me I authenticate.
Now happens again! There is a way that the buttons are displayed? I dont want to lose my information (again).
Thanks!
Im trying to connect my phone to pc companion but everytime it get's the blue screen and it doesn't work, how do i get it connected?
Hi, i did all this but got to the stage where you power on the device after reinstaling the software and it wont poweron, the led flashed red and at one piont i managed to make the sony logo apear but thats it. Does that mean it bricked or is there something im missing?
EDIT: i tried pluging it back in and haypresto, it powered back on, i got the charging screen showinf full power, i then turned it on and at the moment of writing it has reached the wavey screen.
