Z5 screen flickering static

I upgraded to the Z5 a couple of weeks ago and have noticed that the screen will get a greyish static across portions of the bottom half of the screen. It seems to do it a couple of times a day and in various apps.

I previously had the Z2 and never came across this issue (previous phone died after 18 months and wouldn't get past the reboot screen  

Is this a hardware issue I can have replaced under warranty or is it something I can fix?

Welcome to the community.

It sounds like this is a hardware issue, you may wish to contact your local support team. 

With your Z2, if you still have it, try running a software repair.

I  am having the same issue.. Changed my display under service guy's advice. 

But it didn't help. The same issue prevails.

Used for less than 2 years. Shattered my reliability on Sony.

Any suggesstion is welcome.
