Well this is one for you Support guys.
I am sorry but after many years as a Sony customer totally happy except with the dual ringtone sim problem. I have now purchased a Samsung Galaxy S8+.
This is also a dual sim phone. It has options to assign a different ring tone to each sim and also options to have a different text tone for each sim too.
So it is easily possible to have two different ringtones on your phone Sony. If samsung have it there is no reason why you can't.
Sad to go but loyalty only goes so far. I am so impressed with this phone I will probably never buy Sony again.
Hi
I on the other hand bought a Samsung Note 8, even though I was discouraged to Samsung after Galaxy S4.
It is a dual SIM phone too, and I can assign a different ringtone to each sim card. I wonder why it was a limitiation for Sony, while other makers could do it. It is such a basic functionality. I was eventually able to configure a dual ringtone on Z5 with Automate app, as one user recommended, but it was a big complicated and it should be a standard on a dual sim phone.
What I also like about Note 8 is that I only have to tap once on Data icon in quick settings to turn on a data transfer. On Z5 Sony it became a "procedure" to turn on data transfer - it was an unnecessary waste of time. Last difference - Note 8 doesn't heat up. On Z5 I had to use a leather case, otherwise it wasn't convenient to hold it.
hi there, flow incomplete, pls pm thx Jo
