z5 : just lost home key & multitask button & it beeps on every touch

my phone was set not to beep on any "screen key" press...  it is now beeping even though under intl keyboard it still has beeping toggled to off.

the virtual middle home button does nothing (but beep)  and the button the right does nothing

dragging down the home screen leads to notifications, but there is no further drop down screen to "settings"  (nor will 2 fingers go straight to that double screen)

EE   E6653  6.0   32.1.A.1.185     (latest version acording to phone and pc comp)

ive tried the reset button under the sim flap

Are you on ee firmware?
The tone on home buttons is in settings, sounds. Other sounds, but sounds like it could do with a backup and repair installation using xperia companion tbh.

several strange things happened this morning...

1)  it made a pocket call to a number in the middle of my "b" contacts that has never been rung before...  (the screen was locked when put in my pocket)

2)  it rebooted after going to the gym with  "tink" noises when any screen virtual button is pressed and the middle and right system buttons being dead

3)  wifi was turned off as default,   but i have also found wifi calling had toggled to off,  as had back up to google.   i am going through trying to find other settings that have switched from what they are "always set to on" for...

4) music sounded unusally low quality walking to the gym

5)  "when device is locked" has returned to "show all notification content" from  being "hide senstive...."

yes... EE firmware..  

thanks that has turned the "tink" noise off... would never have found that, i was looking under keyboard.. 

looks like i will have to do a repair and then redo all my various notification noises..  

going to give it a day incase it's a bad app update that has caused it...

it's a very weird set of errors because so many things have been toggled on or off

also noticed the first pull down is "notifications" and it is blank and stayed blank even though text messages have come in

i am wondering if it is a facebook beta update as only it and a couple of things like sony weather, transfer & lounge updated at the same time...

the reports under diagnostics for system incidents, apps not responding, app incidents are all "information unavailable" and "actual running time = 11 days" which is a **bleep**?   (its turned off every day, and is a launch day phone so what is 11 refering too!)

"back up" from the phone wont back up manually

"back up" using pc companion puts a yellow tringle on every cat. un copied

"xperia file transer to cloud" stops unexpectedly

i cant back up the phone
