Without knowing the current battery level and how long the display has been on when you're checking this it doesn't really say anything. You can see how much the display has been on by tapping it in the list.
If you for example charge the battery full, remove the charger and have the display on for just a few minutes you would have that result. It doesn't display current usage, it displays statistics since the last charge.
Who told you the screen is supposed to be somewhere below 40%? The screen is first when it comes to battery drain.
Some apps might wake up the device,check if the same occurs in safe mode:
