Z ultra, hangouts, and locked screen problem

Hello there, I had my Z ultra for quite a long time, but there is this one problem that still exist from day one which is as follow:

When the screen is off, any calls or video calls that come through hangouts does not make the phone ring.

It only make the notification light flash and sometimes the phone ring for half a second and then the notification light keep flashing as usual.

The phone screen do not turn on too.

If the screen is on only then the phone ring.

Any text massage come through Hangouts the phone give me the notification tone/light even if the screen is off.

I put the Hangouts app under the exceptions in the stamina mode.

I deleted the app updates.

I cleared the data and the cache.

I did a software repair.

I upgraded to lolipop.

but the problem still exist till this day.

Other than that the phone is awesome.

I wrote to hangouts team but didn't get any reply.

And i found a forum talking about this issue where they conclude ( to my understaning )  that it's something to do with Sony lock screen software hence me writing here asking for help

Could you boot on safe mode and check if you get the notifications, also do you have stamina mode on?

I tried that just now and still didn't work ( tried with stamina mode on/off )

Yes i keep stamina mode on all the time BUT i tried the phone before with stamina off and it gave me the same result.

Any other suggestions?!!

I usually see this behaviour with stamina on or with other battery apps, do you have the latest updates? are you on WiFi or data? have you disabled any background data?

Thanks for the quick replies.

I do have the lastest update and with every update i hoped that the issue will be solved but it did not.

everything is up to date, even the apps

I don't use any battery app since stamina is good enough.

It really dosen't matter if I am on WIFI or Data since i get the same result in both conditions BUT most of the tests i did while I was on WIFI.

NO i did not disable the background data for any app and i just double checked.

Anything else i should try?! or any info i can give to help?!

Hello there, sorry for the late reply.

I did the repair before and i did it again today but the problem still exist.

And now i am stuck redoing the whole playlists since you can not backup the playlists which is totally a different problem to be addressed later

And you did address it but there was no solution ( /t5/Music/how-to-transfer-my-playlists/m-p/951677/highlight/true )

Anyway, I lost hope but if you have any other idea please let me know.

Just to recap, the issue is that you repaired the phone with PCC and you did NOT installed any app, stamina was never on but you are not getting the notifications with data?
