Z ultra, hangouts, and locked screen problem

Hello there, I had my Z ultra for quite a long time, but there is this one problem that still exist from day one which is as follow:

When the screen is off, any calls or video calls that come through hangouts does not make the phone ring.

It only make the notification light flash and sometimes the phone ring for half a second and then the notification light keep flashing as usual.

The phone screen do not turn on too.

If the screen is on only then the phone ring.

Any text massage come through Hangouts the phone give me the notification tone/light even if the screen is off.

I put the Hangouts app under the exceptions in the stamina mode.

I deleted the app updates.

I cleared the data and the cache.

I did a software repair.

I upgraded to lolipop.

but the problem still exist till this day.

Other than that the phone is awesome.

I wrote to hangouts team but didn't get any reply.

And i found a forum talking about this issue where they conclude ( to my understaning )  that it's something to do with Sony lock screen software hence me writing here asking for help

Hi there, I came to conclusion that problem is not from Sony software but it's rather the hangout application because after the last update for the hangout with version 6 the phone start to vibrate but the rest of the problem still exists.

Thanks for the update and glad to hear that you at least got vibration now.

As you, i don't think this is related to your phone either. It works when i test it here on the same firmware and if there was something wrong with your unit i find it strange that it would work with other apps like Skype.

I'm not sure if it can be related to the account itself but trying another Google account could perhaps be interesting just to make sure it's not account releated.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I did tried another account since i do have 3 accounts on the phone already but when i did the software repair i created a new account to try and it gave me the same results unfortunately.

Yes I did, and I said that before, I doubt you read all what I wrote before.
There is a link for this problem on hangouts forum. Plus I wrote to them from the app feedback many times but Google is just plain lazy I guess.
The problem is from hangouts for sure, because if you went to see the reviews on play store you'll see how many people with different phones having the same problem or similar one.
If they didn't fix it with the next update I'm jumping ships. Either Skype or Signal private messenger.
Thanks for your help guys and thanks Sony developers too for the latest updates (even though they're not updating to Marshmallow :'( not that I'm complaining)

Hi again,  

I know no one most probably care about this now ( too old topic)  but I want to give one last update. 

The problem was with the app, they fixed/update it so it's functioning properly now.
