Hello there!
Recently, I have started to have this problem with display of my Xperia Z5. From time to time, the screen starts to blick in all corners (sometimes vigorously, sometimes it is hardly noticeable). It is more clearly seen when brightness is set to highest possible value. Restart of the phone does not help. Firstly, I though it may be caused by excessive heat under heavy usage. However, I have just fiinshed a phone call, phone was totally cool and boom, the problem appeared. So, I assume that this problem kind of randomly starts and goes off. I have never dropped my phone.
So, please, can someone offer any solution (besides sending it to repair centre)? ๐
Thanks,

You know what's coming....
Try backing up with Xperia Companion and perform a repair installation, if that doesn't work.... Sorry but you know where it's gotta go.( Local support)
Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. It is much appreciated! I will definitely give it a go ๐
However, does someone have any other idea?

@Z5thebest sounds to me like the death throws of a faulty screen, might last like that for a while but best to get it seen to before you end up with a black screen, but please do follow @Viridis advice as this really is the best & only thing to try, hope the repair cures the problem :smileysmileythumbsup:
OK guys ๐
I really hope this will be only software issue. It seems like it to me, because as I can recall this problem started to occur shortly after nougat update and also is not permanent, but rather reccuring.

@Z5thebest hopefully not a coincidence that it just started after the update, you could also try Safe Mode first before the software repair....keep us informed please, good luck :smileysmileywink:http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008
OK guys. Thank you for all your answers
Since my display developed also some kind of white spot in left lower corner and display still blinks from time to time, I decided to send it to the local service team.

Hello there again.
I have just got back my Xperia Z5 with freshly changed display. I can confirm, that no blinking occured so far (I have it just a few days) and also the ugly white spot in the lower left corner dissapeared. However...
However, sometimes (I noticed that it is mainly after harder usage with higher temperature rise and also happened to me on browsing chrome) display starts to behave really sensitive. Or beter said: way too much sensitive. For example, I scroll the Facebook and instead of scrolling, it starts to open photos or like them (depends on where I lay my finger), or Iwrite the message and while typing, I want to type "yes" for example and phone goes like "yyyyyyeeeeeesssssssss" and of course, the notification bar starts to roll up and down. The only thing that helps is just to press power button, which locks the phone, and unlock it again. I know, that it is a question of one second, but this is a flagship phone for top price and it is just weird and not normal.
And one thing more. I do not know like you guys, but service should give you the latest android after the repairment. However, I still run just android 7.0 and not the fancy 7.1.1 (32.4.A.0.160)!!! And I try to use OTA and Companion and both says that my phone has the latest software. How is this possible, since there is 7.1.1 in my region???
And one thig: I have already repaired the software and also tried to restore settings from manufacturer. However, I cannot see any difference.
So I tried everything and it was also in the GREAT SONY SERVICE. So thank you, but give me some other advice please! Or do you also experience this kind of problem? And do you also miss 32.4.A.0.160???

OK,
just to conclude this - after repair, my phone started to suffer from ghost touching problem. In the service, they had faulty touchscreen and I was given it to my Z5. However, everything is allright after another repair.
Besz regards.
