Xperia Z3 screenshot problem.

Hi everybody. I have a problem with my otherwise perfect z3. Whenever I try to take a screen shot I receive a message saying that the operation succeed in a notification pop-up but, there's no way I can find my screenshot anywhere... What should I do?

Hi @Rosebud64

Ok, let´s ttry the following, but first run a backup of the device information. Then perform a system repair using PC Companion orBridge for MAC. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery. Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds) Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process. If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP. Keep us updated please, I´m at disposal for any question.

Hi,

How are you trying to take a screenshot? Is it by holding down the ON/OFF + volume down(-) for 2-3 seconds or do you choose the option "Take screenshot" while holding down the ON/OFF button?

Hi,
I use the start button. It was working perfectly until a couple of weeks ago...

Hi @Rosebud64

Please, boot your device into safe mode as explained here. If this issue is not present in this mode, that indicates a third party app is causing the problem. In this case exit Safe Mode and then un-install any third party apps you don't need and clear the cache/data for the apps you want to keep. Keep us updated.

I agree with xavinux, safe mode would be recommended in this case. Have you ever been able to take a screenshot?

Hi again. As I said previously I tried all the solutions and ways described to turn it on "safe mode" without any success. It simply reboots in normal mode. Is it possible that my provider (swisscom) reprogrammed it in that way???
Yes, I was able to take screen shots a couple of weeks ago and I deleted all applications installed since then...
