Xperia Z3 (home) WiFi problems

Hello,

I've searched the forum for people with similar issues but couldn't find my exact problem so I made a new post.

Problem:

My phone has trouble with my home wifi. It's connected and it runs smoothly at first but fter a while, after a few hours of sleemode, the internet is really, really slow and fails to load Youtube movies, Facebook or other apps. It can still load up sites but extremely slow. After a reboot the wifi is blazing fast again and no troubles until I put it in sleepmode for a while.

Settings:

I enabled stamina mode but disabled the option that turns of wifi when the phone is inactive. I also enabled background queue and disabled the 'eco wifi' function in settings menu.

Wrap-up

After a few hours of sleep mode wifi is not usable until I reboot. I don't want to reboot my phone this often for my wifi to work.

Is anyone else having this problem? Does anybody know a solution?

Ps. Router is working fine with all other devices and uses b/g/n, WPA2 (without weird characters).

I have had my Z3 for almost a year now and everything was fine.  Recently, my phone cannot stay connected to home wifi at all.  It connects and drops then searches connections constantly.  Its driving me insane.  I have factory reset my phone and the router (Virgin Media SuperHub2).  All other devices in the home connect without any problem.  I am desperate for a solution.  Please help!

I had exact same problem as you. Contacted Sony who told me to send it to Sony engineer in Dublin. Quick enough turn around, think it was about 5 days. They said it was a software issue but I had factory reset it twice and updated it anyway. Main thing is, its working fine now! So, email Sony first.

I have the same problem, it started after I had it repaired at local store where I bought it. Could that be the reason.
If anyone has solved this problem, please help Slightly_smiling_Face

I have the same problem also. I tried connect it to my school wifi and it works just fine. But at home it keeps on decreasing and often not connected at all. All the other devices can connect to my home wifi. Please help me!!

I have the same problem and tried everything I could. Even reformatting my phone. That didn't work. Don't bother reformatting as then you will have no wifi and have to use cellular data to reload all your old apps. My phone spent the whole of yesterday night downloading over slow cellular data and my cell plan has since overshoot the data cap.......... Can't wait to see the bill this month....

Super reluctant to send the phone in since repairs cost almost a new phone and takes 1 month with no guarantee of the problem getting fixed. (been there done that... Sent this phone in so many times I could buy 3 xperia z3 compacts already... The warranty was denied every single time)
