Xperia z2 status bar not sliding down

I bought xperia z2 2 weeks ago. Just today my phone went crazy. The screen started detecting random touches every where _ghost touches_. I switched it off several times until the problem was solved . But apparently a new problem appeared. Now I can't scroll down the notification bar. I went to diagnostics where I could test the device. I tested the touch input and surprisingly the status bar area detects nothing at all. The screen works responds properly except for the upper most part ( status bar area). So I guess that this is a software problem . I tried restarting the device several times but it never worked. I hope I'll find a solution.

I'm also having the issue where it works on the lock screen but is broken on the home screens

I'd also like to add that it was broken, I used flash tool to flash from the same official build to it again, it worked for a few days and now the issue is back

Same issue Z2 - started with ghost touch screen which I fixed by resetting the phone to factory - since then the touch screen is really sluggish, like it's lost its sensitivity and opens things on scrolling I don't want to. I can open the notification bar when locked but unlocked it shows me suggested apps. When I turn xreality off and on the touch sensitivity returns to normal for a few moments and then gets worse again. This is REALLY frustrating, please advise Sony!!

Oh and it looks like my phone is still under warranty until September this year BUT Sony do not offer repair services in the Canary Islands - what good is my warranty for then?!

I am having the same problem as well. I am a user of the Xperia z2. Around a month  ago i was using my phone, and then after a couple of minutes the screen wasn't responding at all, then i realised it was having ghost touches  as well. Random touches on the screen, i have googled about it every where but i couldn't find a solution. I've tried everything but nothing worked. I bought my phone in July 2014. I had contacted Xperia support thorough chat and they had sent me an email which indicate that I should perform a software repair. The phone had slowed down which allowed me to perform a factory reset but the issue still remain. I have performed the software repair and the problem still exist. Now my phone is completely unusable, the screen is not working at all, there are random touches on screen which makes the screen unusable. I am currently unable to access the phone because I can't get pass the welcome screen. I am really worried and I have no idea what to do. I purchased this phone in Canada and right now I am living in Jamaica. It was suggested that i took the phone to your local support. But that would be taking he phone back to Canada. Do you guys found any easier soulution to this problem?
