txt messages takes ages to delete

Has anyone tried to delete a txt message, no matter how long the message is it takes upto 30+ seconds to delete it is so frustrating

Is this another bug

Try the following:

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Messaging -> Force stop, Clear data and restart your phone.

Will clear data delete all txt messages

It should not delete them, but you can always take a back up with "Back up @& restore" app in your Xperia. Will take a few seconds-minutes to back your messages up.

Call me stupid but On kitkat you would select your Google account and you could backup txt there but on lollipop you just select your Google account and nothing happens any ideas what I am doing wrong please mate

Go to your Apps drawer (not settings) and open the app called "Backup & restore", select "Manual backup", check "Conversations" and tap BACKUP.

Txt messages came back but deleteing a single message still takes forever though

Did you try clearing the data as I suggested in 2nd post?
