Stereo sound in FM-radio with Android 6.0?

My Z3 has updateted yesterday to Marshmellow version.

I have noticed today that even bradcasting is in stereo, it does not sound stereophonic althugh stereo indicator is on.

Am I unique in that phenomenon?

Always through the SONY MH-410 earphones set.

I just tested this with a Z3 and a pair Sony MH410, Stereo works

I can confirm that sound is in mono not stereo and radio app don't play sound in background, radio is running but no sound, tested in normal use condition and in safe mode. Tested on Z3 Dual D6633 and MDR-NC31E and MH750 and iphone 5s headphones

That's rather odd, could you test different radio stations? I'll keep testing

Yup, tested with several fm stations, and radio stops playing music in background, i've reflashed firmware stereo started to work but stereo effect is very narrow not wide like it was in kitkat and lollipop, tested on costumized US and RU firmware.

Same thing on my Z3 after updating to MM...FM stereo channel separation in Lollipop is much much better..Sony must have messed this up:smileyangry:

Also disappointed at Sony not include Stamina and Ultra Stamina modes..MM's doze feature is pretty useless in saving battery life.

If the radio is silent when you minimize the app by pressing home, it might be an app that's using the phones microphone.

Do you have "Ok Google" detection from any screen enabled? You can check this under Settings -> Google -> Search and Now -> Voice -> Ok Google detection.

I've try by disabling most of google apps leaving just google play shop and google services but it was still no sound, so i'm now back to lollipop and wait for update that will be next after 23.5.A.0.570.
