Problem with touch screen

Suddenly a vertical line of my touch screen won't response anymore... I restored Android and still the same. I attach a screen that shows the area that doesn't work. Any help??

Hi @storner, sorry to hear about your phone. Slightly_frowning_Face

Could you try to perform the touch test in the service menu? To access it, open the Phone pad and enter "*#*#7378423#*#* > Service tests > Touch > Free drawing test, now try drawing over the area where A and Q are located. Are you able to clear that whole area?

Here is what it looks like:

Screenshot_20161012-153304.pngLooks bad - there is a ~1 cm wide area on the entire left side of the screen where nothing registers when I try to draw over that area.

But it is weird, because it does work when I hit the Phone icon on the start screen, which is in that very area.

Hey I have exactly the same problem. What is the solution?

No solution for me... Still not working. I think I have to replace the hole display module. Slightly_frowning_Face

Hello,

I have the following problem with the Sony Experia Z3 keyboard:

Entering a 1 changes into 2. Same with q, this gives w as result. The @ is changed into :

All others are ok.

I tried to solve this with factory settings, new system etc. But it keeps repeating this error.

Any suggestions to solve this?

Looks like several users are encountering the same problems here. Anyone succeeded yet in resolving the issue?

Anyone at the Sony Support center that can help me (us)?

The only solution I found is to replace the display module. I didn't change it yet. I'm still using it like that...

Double click and enter directly to the main screen, does not go through the lock screen.

I have exactly the same problem as Storner. So I tried following, all in vain: Safety mode, service test touch screen, successful  and finally with Companion a software repair (already twice): nothing helps, the problem remains.

If I remember the problem started after the last software update, before never problems.
