Suddenly a vertical line of my touch screen won't response anymore... I restored Android and still the same. I attach a screen that shows the area that doesn't work. Any help??

Settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test touch screen.

That test is not very accurate, because I can clean all the screen. I doesn't detect this type of problems. The screenshot I published is made from the secret menu dialing *#*#7378423#*#*

Try in safe mode
Power button- hold power off for few seconds- reboot safe mode.
Test again

Hey!

Recently the touch panel of my Xperia Z3 (D6603) is behaving oddly. Whenever, I press key 'T' on the keyboard 'y' is also being typed with 'T' and same goes for key 'g' and 'f'. I changed my screen protector and still having same issue. I tried to have touch screen test (by enter the following code *#*#7378423#*#* into the dialler), and I am not sure if touch is broken or what. I am attaching snapshot of touch screen test, I was wondering if you guys can help me with this. In the yellow highlighted area I was unable to draw vertical lines. However, sometimes I managed to draw horizontal lines on the highlighted area but not all the time. Any insights on this ? Is the touch digitizer broken here or is it some kind of software issue?

P.S: My cell phone didn't fell or I didn't tried it under water. It happened suddenly.

Hi @zaksh, I'm sorry to hear about that. Slightly_frowning_Face

Like you mentioned this could be related to the digitizer, but before sending it to an authorized service center I would still recommend that you first try a software repair using Xperia Companion. That way you can see if it may be software related.

In case it persists, I suggest that you get in touch with your Local support in order to be assisted in sending the device to service.

Dear Sir,
I have purchased Sony Experia Z-3 (D6653) last year.I have problems with my Touchscreen. The Back button along with the complete Left side vertical area (appx 30%) is not responding to any touch & seems dead. Last & latest update done was Marshmallow 6.0.1 (23.5.A.1.291). The Keyboard & the Phone Dialer also misbehaves. Even the earpiece call volume & ringing volume has gone down considerably since Lollipop upgrade. This was a bad experience from a premium & flagship model from Sony.
Kindly suggest solution at earliest.

Just recently (the past week), my Z3 started not recognizing 'q' and 'a' on the onscreen keyboard - i.e. the two left-most keys. Instead they pick up a 'w' and 's', i.e. the letters to the right of the real ones.

The shift-key (just beneath 'a') works fine, and if I switch to landscape mode I can also enter these letters.

It might be a more general problem with some areas of the touch-screen, I noticed yesterday that the same area of the screen failed to respond in another app.

Any ideas?
