Phone hangs/Lagging after Updating to Nougat

My phone constantly hang/lags since installing Nougat. Even doing basic function as making a call or going to Settings, takes sometime like more than 20 seconds.

Other application such as Whatsapp etc also lags.

I have ample storage space in internal storage - more than 5GB.

I don't know how is possible that with each upgrade of the operating system the phone works worse and that there isn't any visible improvement. My Z5 started with lollipop and the phone was perfect. With the upgrade to marshmallow they took off stamina, the animations on the radio and started the problems with the audio (lower sound and stuttering with the bluetooth). Now with Nougat the problem with the sound is worse. It's near impossible to listen to any video on youtube and the same problem with the games. It's impossible to connect my bluetooth earphones to the mobile with NFC and I needed to restart the phone to conect them directly with the bluetooth menu and when I use the play-stop buttons using poweramp starts to play the google Music program when with the other S.O didn't happend .

Since lollipop I could change the image from the lock screen with any image program (I use QuickPick). Now with Nougat I can't do it. I can only change the image with the google Photo program but without resizing or cropping the image.

There is also some programs crashing on exit.

All those problems and the only apparent changes to a normal user is new icons and new notification design.

And the feeling that any of the upgrades was worth it.

Not long ago I got an update on my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, so I said why not (i do not like updates very much). Before the update my phone ran smoothly, but after? Everything takes awful long! Even while writting this topic took ages beacuse of lag. Is anyone else having this issue?

Since I upgraded to Android 7.0, my Xperia has had lags problems on receiving notifications which causes a slight reboot. It has a constant bug that makes it very slow on facebook and some games, which causes the temperature to rise and the experience is bad

hello are you on the latest build of the update? .378? have you tried to perform software repair using Xperia Companion?

Guys if you read this do not update the latest upgrade, its still not fixed, it just get worst, the upper speaker is not FREAKING LOUD the lower speaker is still alive but not that load, you'll just get disappointed,maybe z5c is my last phone, im not buying sony anymore.

You are not alone....Many are there who are desperately expecting a superb Fix from SONY. Hope Sony understands and retains customers.

The latest update of the software is extremely dreadful. Whoever see this, do not update ur phone. 

The phone lags like crazy and battery drain even faster.

We need a fix or a revert from Sony else it is change phone for me and I am never turning back

Boot in >>> safe mode and check if you experience the same issue.
