Phone doesn't boot up after downgrading to 4.4.4

Hi there,
I have D5803 running 5.1.1 and I wanted to downgrade to 4.4.4.
I followed this link:

and flashed 4.4.4 (23.0.1.A.5.77 - Unbranded - USA (1289-7524)) using flashtool.

Flashing finished succesfully according to this:

Tried to turn on the device, but it comes to purple screen, freezes, and reboots itself constantly. I can't even turn off the phone.

re-download flashtool and the ftf file > charge the phone for 1 hour or so > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > repeat the downgrade process

This has happened to me a few times. I believe it's because the kernel doesn't flash properly. I bet you heard a funny long beep too.

Redownload and reflash like mentioned earlier.
