My Xperia Alert & Location not working - UK

I've tried using the find my xperia and alert request on a number of occaisions and found it to either not work or take in my opinion far too long to activate. Considering this is supposed to be a useful security feature this is not really acceptable in my opinion.

As I post this I sent a find my xperia and alert request over 30 minutes ago and still not recieved either, despite looking right now at my phone and seeing good wifi and mobile signals and power is nearly full. Xperia cannot seem to locate my phone (told me so!)

Any advice on this issue having a fix or workaround?

Hello all,

I am posting here in the hope to find a solution to the same problem on my Z1 Compact

However,

- MyXperia is activated and both my gmail accounts are listed under Settings -> Security -> my Xperia

- GPS is on

- Google location Reporting is on

But my device does not show up in myxperia or the Android device manager (link above)

Anything else I might be missing?
