Microphone Problem only in Regular Calls| Lolipop 5.0.2

Hi everyone,

I have Z1 for one year, and it was really nice time, recently i upgrade to Lolipop 5.0.2, but then the mic stop working good.

If i make or recieve  a normal call, the other side can not hear me well, the vocie is bad and sometime its gone totally.

But if i try to recode a voice or movie or even make an internet call using Watts App or Facebook massenger, the mic is okay and fine.

Only in regular call it stop working good.

Yes I don't know how to say it in English. I make a phone call and then I press the speaker output to listen to the person that I m calling and like that I can listen to them and they can listen to me too

This issue is definitely from software side, I had no issue when my phone was in Kitkat. Problem starts after I update to Lollipop
Lollipop Lollipop. Now in lollipop I don't have any issues when I use Whatsapp, Viber or Skype calls. this means the issue is from software side.

My suggestion is to turn off the Microphone noise suppression and Speaker voice enhancement.
My phone is working perfect with these settings.

this problem is started in lollipop, when u choose only wcdma network, it'll work fine, if you choose only gsm, it'll not work & the other person will not listen you properly. so thats why i flashed kitkat again & it work fine in both.

This suggests that the issue is with the headset jack in your phone. The phone thinks you have a headset connected even though you don't. But when you enable the speakerphone the phone will use the phones microphone and speaker even if a headset is connected.

Check if there's any dirt in the headset jack and if there is, try cleaning it carefully. If this doesn't help, your phone needs to be repaired.

The issue you describe sounds like the one that we have fixed in the upcoming software update.

@Rickard thanx for info. waiting for 5.1.1 for z1. any ideas when it'll be rolling? it has been certified on ptcrb website.

We hope to start rolling out the update very soon but i can't give you a date i'm afraid. But as usual, the update will rollout gradually and may availability may depend on local and operator approvals.

I'm getting crazy with this problem... Use my phone for work cause I need him for lot's of stuff not only calls... Can't be without it not even one hour. Only if someone repairs it in the evening but I have to got it next morning! I've been Ericsson (Sony) client since the t18 and t28, etc etc never been disappointed till now

I suspect you will need to hand in your phone for repairs i'm afraid but please contact your local support team to see what options you have and what the fastest way of having it repaired is.

I can't say for sure but a bluetooth headset might work as a workaround until you can have the phone repaired.

Has anyone tried to shut OK GOOGLE from settings, did work on mine for an instance
