Microphone Problem only in Regular Calls| Lolipop 5.0.2

Hi everyone,

I have Z1 for one year, and it was really nice time, recently i upgrade to Lolipop 5.0.2, but then the mic stop working good.

If i make or recieve  a normal call, the other side can not hear me well, the vocie is bad and sometime its gone totally.

But if i try to recode a voice or movie or even make an internet call using Watts App or Facebook massenger, the mic is okay and fine.

Only in regular call it stop working good.

Any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm tired of the incompetence of developers Sony, they turn a smartphone with top-end filling in a frank
Wait from one version to another android bug fixes and receive in addition to new ones.
Tired of me that Sony is constantly fed with promises.
The same camera module that Z1, on the smartphone cheap Chinese work better, than Z1, and all gnarled hands of programmers.
Dismiss them to and find those who are able to work normally.

Hi, I also have this microphone problem with the phone. Mine started before lollipop... Though the lollipop downgrade would make it better but it didn't. I live in Sweden so this issue is not only for people living in India as someone else posted before in this thread.

I have bought Xperia Z Ultra recently and it came packaged with Lolopop 5.0.2. Not sure if this problem was always there or it is the result of upgrade which I can see in the thread. I am also facing the same issue. No one is able to hear me on the other side. I will try the options listed above and will come back if this works fine. Do we have a permanent solution to it ? Also, in Z Ultra I do not see the option of Xloud and other sound enhancement. is it by design?

Same problem here.

Microphone quality in voice calls (as heard by the other side)
worsened dramatically after system update to Lollipop 5.0.2 in Xperia Z1. Already
tried: disabling noise suppression & another update via PC Companion -
no effect. Switching preferred network type to "WCDMA only" does solve
the call quality problem, but makes phone virtually unusable outside
of urbanized areas (at least in Poland). Call quality in Skype is always fine.

Another, less critical nuisance after updating to Lollipop 5.0.2 is a
several (4 - 5) seconds long lag before showing SwiftKey on screen
keyboard when opening conversation or clicking any editable field of a webpage.
The problem didn't exist in KitKat 4.4.4. I haven't checked the Xperia
default keyboard behavior.

Any news, when the problems are going to be solved? Can somebody from
SONY respond on the forum.

Me and my boyfriend both updated our phones a few months ago and since then when we have calls, people always comment one minute they can hear us, the next it's like we are under water and they can't hear a word, This is extremely annoying as we always have signal and it's only been an issue since update, Anyone else having same problem? We both have z1 compact, was told by Sony to repair software but we will lose stuff if don't save it and can take an hour but why should we have to do this when fault isn't ours?!

Sometimes reinstalling the latest update with PCC smooth things out

PC Companion (PCC)

Bridge (for Mac)
