I have Z1 Compact for 2 weeks and every second day my phone looses its mobile data connection... even the data transfer icon dissapears from the top line of the screen... only restart fixes it... and it is happening again in about 24 hours
I am noticing this every morning as i drive my car to work and im using Waze navigation programm, that shows "Searching network" in red... also emails and Chrome is not working...
Does someone had such problem and know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!!!

Try settings-apps-all-smart connect, clear data and force stop.Yes,it has something from 7 to 7 or something like that, where it disables features on your device.

today i spoked to my operator... but they denied that possibility completely (about replacing SIM)... almost laughed at me :)....
but that will not stop me! im going to spend some euros to buy a prepaid one and test this anyway!!!
we will see whos laughing last
hehehe...
Ok,buy a SIM card and test your phone. It might still not be related to smart connect.
Good morning!
So... last time I restarted my phone yesterday about at 18:00 just to try out is there something related to aproximately 24hour fenomena... - nope... :)... today at 7:10 my mobile data stoped working...
When i was haveing my breakfast (at 6:30) i disabled Wi-Fi and started to use only mobile data connection... everything was fine... i even installed from Google play a programm called Ping... and all it does is pinging network every second to make sure there is internet connection... so with the Waze in background and this Ping program in foreground i was driving my way to work... and after 20 minutes of driving the internet connection just broke down... notification icon was lost... and the Waze were showing the red "Searching network" text...
By doing this i realized that there is no timer for 24 hours... and i think there is no some "buffer overrun" problem... even i believe that thats not related to Smart Connect as i disabled it yesterday... so there is a lot to do... i still want to check the SIM card by trying a another one... and i want to try not using Waze in the morning... but i believe its not the Waze problem... because all day im driving with Waze and i am even going the same way to home with Waze...
Maybe someone knows how to hard reset the Z1c? Or there is nothing more than "reset to factory defaults" in the settings?
Maybe someday the new KitKat update will fix this? :(...
Thanks in advance... still digging :)...
You can reset to factory settings directly from your phone or you can repair via sony update service:

Hi there!
Im back again :)... on saturday I went to mobile operator client centre and asked to replace my SIM card... they agreed with no cost for this, so since saturday noon im using new SIM card and my mobile data connection never broke down since that...
So it must be defective (although it was brand new and came with phone) SIM card... and thanks for you all for helping me to get that far :)...
By the way... while testing those connections, i noticed, that every morning my Wi-Fi was turned ON, but i clearly know that i left it turned OFF... and that keeps repeating every morning... although its not a big problem, but i wonder who or what is turning it ON every morning??? I dont have any clue as ive disabled all related automation and scheduler stuff...
Maybe i should make another thread for this?
Thanks in advance!
No,keep it here,it is fine.Do you have wifi by location enabled?Look in settings-power management.
Yes... in fact i have enabled to turn on wifi in the range of my networks... is this the reason?
Then why it enables wifi when i am all night at home (where my wifi is) and i turn wifi OFF, but on morning
when i wake up i see that wifi is back ON again :)... i even didnt left or entered the wifi zone...
maybe it has something to do with day changes at midnight? huh...
About the enable-disable thing,it could be related to smart connect or I really do not know.Do you have wifi on during sleep?
