initialbootsetup has stopped and system repair wont load on pc!

recently reset my girlfriends z1 compact and now i get the error message "initialbootsetup has stopped" tried the power button/volume up procedure but even the system repair will not initialize in xperiea companion,so im really at a dead end 

has anyone out there got any ideas or is the phone now done

i feel thqat if i could just get the system repair to load in xperia companion i might just stand a chance

Did you try following the software repair using Xperia Companion guide step by step, starting by having your phone fully charged and switched off before you connect it to PC?

hi,neither the sony pc companion or the xperia companion repair will load on my pc

tried turning off my firewall and anti virus but to no avail

so even sonys own repair program is in need of repair!!

so frustrating,i dont want to send it back to sony its too old and not worth the hassle(although my girlfriend would argue otherwise!!)

Sony PC Companion is discontinued so it won't work, so uninstall it anyways. 

Try uninstalling Xperia Companion, restarting your PC, then re-installing Xperia Companion.

If this doesn't work, try to install Xperia Companion on a different PC/laptop.
