Hello everyone,
i want to ask about how to turn off the vibration. i manually turn it off in Whatsapp and Message but still -- it vibrate.
anyone know how to fix this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Do not disturb is the name for the mode I was referring to, not Silent. Sorry about the confusion.
In Do not disturb mode the phone won't vibrate or play any sound when you receive notifications until you exit Do not disturb unless you add some exceptions. You can read more about this on our support website: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaz5/userguide/Sound-ringtone-and-volume/
So in short, if you want no sound or vibration for any notifications you can put your phone in Do not disturb mode. If you wish to disable it for only some apps you will have to look for a setting to do so within the app itself. If that setting doesn't work properly you can try reinstalling the app in question and if that doesn't help you should reach out to the app's developer. If you can't find a support section in the app itself you should be able to find some contact information to the developer on the app page in Google Play.
Can you elaborate which vibration you want to turn off? Is it calls vibration or Keyboard strokes or something else?
For calls:
Settings -> Sound & notification -> Disable "also vibrate on calls"
For apps: each app has its own vibration preferences in its settings.
Hi! Thanks for the reply.
When you push the volume button down, it will go to the lowest (no sound) and the phone will vibrate when any message/call came.
I turn it off in Whatsapp and Message but still it vibrate.
Hi @Ariff10,
As Quester said there are different settings depending on what kind of vibration you wish to disable.
Apart from the one that Quester already mentioned you also have vibration on touch which you can disable if you go to Settings > Sound & notification > Other sounds.
If you wish to disable vibration for the keyboard, and are using the Xperia keyboard app, you can disable it if you go to Settings > Language & input > Xperia keyboard > Sounds and vibrate.
If you want no vibrations for any notifications you can put your phone into Silent Do not disturb mode. Lower the volume all the way down until you get the vibration only mode, then press the volume down (-) key one more time and your phone should go into silent Do not disturb mode.
