FM Radio, unable to tune radio channel

I can't tune a single channel with the FM Radio app, no matter what  headset I try (all of which worked fine with the Z1C). Changing region, resetting app data, full factory reset, repair via PC Companion = no change.

Anyone else having problems, or do I have a dud? I'm dreading it's the same problem as this one reported by Z1C users and that I can expect the same terrible repair service as described by them:

Please Sony tell me no (and why oh why didn't I just order from Amazon).

Was wondering why this has never worked, it would be a nice feature to have but for me the voice detection is more important.  Unfortunate that developers don't seem able to issue a proper fix.

@Bobban same here, I realised today despite all my affords the radio gets nothing but static noise. I don't listen it everyday so it may be broken some days ago. yI'm very sad about it.
