Accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity Not Working

Device- Xperia Z1

I am on stock .157 (kitkat) unrooted. I have no issues on the phone, but after maybe 2-3 days of usage, sensors wouldn't work (accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity). the screen wont turn off during calls , auto rotation wont work. Also in service tests, (*#*#service#*#*) all the values would be blank.A restart will always fix these. Is this a software issue? How do i fix this.I don't wan't to update to new lollipop.

Boot on safe mode for few hours and see if you can replicate the problem if you can't then it's a third party app if you can then repair the phone as suggested by @Quester

If a restart is fixing it, then a Software Repair will fix it for good. But probably Software Repair will install the latest version of OS which might be Lollipop. So I'd advice you to do a factory reset, make sure to back up your data first.

Hi Necromancer18,

Welcome to the community,

Before you go and perform a factory Reset or Software Repair, you may want to backup your content, this can be done by using PC Companion. Use the link below for further details if you do not know already.

Hi, i have a z3, running lollipop 5.0.2, current software 23.a.1.28, after rebooting the device works fine for a few minutes but stops working again. I have also tried the re- calibrating with that sevice numbers. Rebooting in safe mode also doesnt help. I have basically dome everything mentioned in the discussion above, but nothing has help so far, even the factory reset. All this just solves the problem for a minute or two. Is the software repair my only other option now? Thanx

I m aslo suffering from same issue.. Its really annoying.. its happening from I updated my phone in which stability and performance fixes details were given.. The update size was around 20 MB. So what should I do... Should I wait for another update or do factory reset?
