Accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity Not Working

Device- Xperia Z1

I am on stock .157 (kitkat) unrooted. I have no issues on the phone, but after maybe 2-3 days of usage, sensors wouldn't work (accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity). the screen wont turn off during calls , auto rotation wont work. Also in service tests, (*#*#service#*#*) all the values would be blank.A restart will always fix these. Is this a software issue? How do i fix this.I don't wan't to update to new lollipop.

Mine isn't working either!

Ever since the last update came through build number: 35.0.A.1.282 a week ago.

There has to be another workaround other than rebooting the phone and forcing each user to back up data and reinstall everything again. I got the X Performance for the 64GB storage, I needed the app space - I have a 128GB SD card for everything else. Even though this is the case i still have over 40GB of apps to reinstall. Not cool Sony, I have had a Sony phone every time going back to the days the Nokia 3310 went out and colour screens came in!

Clearly this is a major error on the part of Sony's dev team with the update they've recently sent out. There can't be this many people experiencing the same problems at the same time and it not be because Sony pushed out an update the caused this. Sony please push a fix ASAP! Save us all the hassle and inconvenience of trying to fix something you broke. By the looks of things, the fixes people are trying are only temporary.

Hey!

I got the same phone and had the same problem. I browsed the forums and discovered lots of other ppl also have the problem and im glad it seems like a software problem. The problem on my phone got fixed when I turned off my phone for 5 minutes. Then the gyro etc. worked perfectly. Before this I tried just to reboot the phone, and that didnt help at all. but turning it completly off for some minutes seems to have solved the issue.

I got the same problem for Xperia XP

Gyroscope and Accelerometer not working.

After restart, they worked again for a certain amount of time. Then they stop working until restart again.

This happened after updating to 35.0.A.1.282 a few days ago

I hope that a new update can solve this problem.

I have the same problem. Uninstall the maintenance update by going to Apps > memory > uninstall updates do not work...

I also have the same problem. If anyone has any tips on solving this without waiting for Sony to release a fix, please post here ASAP!
Funny that the thread counts as solved when so many people still have the problem...

Same problem here with my D5503 and latest firmware.

All sensors stopped working, screen is glowing continuous when switched off - only reboot helps  - after a few days the same.

Pleas do something, Sony

this fix it's only for Xperia X. Any fix for Z3?
