I found the solution.

In the Phone-options the "text to speech" was swicht on. I don't know why and how but when I did switch it off YouTube act normal again.

Afterwards there was a little doll at the bottom right of the navigation buttons of the phone that I never saw before. That was the option that was on20190117_081550.jpg

For me the buttons go away by themselves after a few seconds and I didn't see a setting to change this behaviour. I tap on the screen again the buttons come back.

Sounds more like a software hickup to me. Have you tried restarting your phone to see if the buttons disappear again as they should?

I have restart the phone, update youtube and today there was also an update for the phone but still the same.

I also see a cross on the YouTube screen to let the buttons disappear. Never seen this on any phone before.
