Hi
I Started this original thread and my phone still has not updated. Sony have had details but I have had no response.
I am really dissapointed as my phone works great but I am now begining to worry a bit about security.
I know that people are recommending doing Factory resets an system repairs but I have had this phone from NEW and I should not have to mess about to get it working correctly.
Can someone from SONY at least acknowledge that there is an issue and they are sorting it!!
Hi @KeithB
I suggest you to read and follow this thread. It takes about 2 hours, but it is perfect in case of errors and system perfectly installed with perfect performances.

Hi everyone,
First of all, I'm very sorry about the late reply and for the inconvenience this has caused. I have now received new information about this.
You might experience the following when trying to update your device to Android™ 7.0 (Nougat):
This is due to the fact that Google™ checks the OTA software availability on the Google™ server (not the SOMC FOTA server) during shutdown. Since no new software can be detected (because Xperia™ is using the SOMC FOTA server) the GMS deletes the update command. We have asked Google™ to register our product on the Google™ server to avoid this.
A software update has been released to fix this.
Note! Software rollouts are a phased process - timings & availability may vary by market/carrier.
