While charging the flashlight turns on but it's dim

I put my xperia xz on charge and I noticed that the flashlight was on but really dim. I looked at my settings alnd it said the flashlight was off and when I stop charging the phone the light turns off. What is this?

Hi, I also have this issue. Could you please tell us if its common on these phones? Or is there a potential fault on the charging reg?

Hi! I also have this problem.

When charging for first 30seconds the Flashlight seems to be on but it's very dim.

And when I use the Flashlight anytime its not as bright as other flashlights on phones.

having the same problem. contacted the sony mobile, they say it can be a hardware issue.  have deposited my phone with the service centre. probably will 10 days till i get an answer. any idea what the problem is? did u get it fixed? please reply asap.

Hi, it is the same with my XZs. The flashlight blinks, dims and flickers during charging, while connected to original charger. The flickering stops once charger is disconnected.

 I noticed this evening when I plugged my phone in to charge that the flash was flickering, but only a very low light flicker & it didn't last very long. It has come back a few times though while it is currently charging.

Anyone else experienced this?

Same issue with my XZs. 

Camera LED is flickering in different intensity for a short period of time during charging. 

It seems to disappear when I use the phone / display, but not sure if it is directly related to this.....

Since this keeps being revived I will also attest to this being an issue. Flashlight on the back flickers dimly when screen is off and phone is charging. It seemingly only happens when I charge it when the phone is less than ~30% battery and eventually stops once the phone is fairly charged. It also seems to get dimmer the more charge the phone has. I've had the issue since I first purchased this phone back in November.

First time I've noticed this particular issue just tonight and I've googled it and found it this thread. Can anyone say whether it was ever fixed especially the people who actually contacted Sony about it? I've had the phone since February and never noticed it so weird for it to start now and not keen on it continuing. Reading through the thread I will say I have noticed in the past with no apparent pattern it very infrequently  does singular flashes that are enough to catch my attention but it never does it twice for me to figure out what was going on...
