Wake up screen when notifications come

I got a xperia xz premium with oreo update. Its my first phone from Sony and i wanted to keep it for some time, but i t has some annoying bugs.

I am very dissapointed because i cant get the screen wake up when the notification come.

I got be before many phones and every phone got this possibility to lights up screen when notification come.....but here nothing happens, just sound and every time i have to wake up manually my screen to view from what app notification come and then open it....

Maybe there is this option but i cant find it ?

How to resolve this problem?

@animalpl there's no global setting for that, but some apps have the option to turn the screen on when the send a notification. you could check if the apps that you use have such setting.

You can also find 3rd party apps on Google Play store, try Glimpse notifications.

Wow, do Sony is first phone that dont have this option. Even xiaomi for 100$ got this.....

I Hope that they will add this feature on update.

btw...glimpsy dont work in oreo...i get test notification but its come without screen turning on .

@animalplyou could try contacting Glimpse dev to let them now about his app not working on Oreo.

It seems that you are referring to notifications like iOS, but you are on android, that's why you have a notification LED, with that said, follow @najodleglejszy @Quester

All phone that i got in past had this option.....LG G6, s7, oneplus 5, xiaomi mi6, xiaomi mia1 and many many others. Xz premium is the first phone which dont get this option, so please dont say that its an IOS thing....because on android , Sony phone is the first which dont got it.

If other companies can do such thing, just why Sony cant.? 😀

In android 7 on xz premium there wasnt this option also?

Sony's take on android it's quite similar to vanilla Android, like nexus/pixel devices, you can get notifications on the lockscreen BUT if you want the screen to turn on, you will need a third party app.

ok i understand and have to accept it like it is (i hope they will add some update for it). I am using now "WON-wake on notification" and it seems that it is working
