I have had no problem adding locations of interest to me. I've had no problem turning on my current location. I cannot figure out how to delete Washington D.C. I'm not in or near D.C., I don't care what the weather is there. I delete it and the next time I look, there it is again. Help!

nvm, I was checking on an Xperia Z1 as I missread that you have the XZ1 Compact. I just checked on an XZ1 and there's indeed a bug, I'll escalate this.
By "clear the app data", I assume you mean "delete Washington". Or is there a more thorough method?
Just for the record, this is my first smart phone (I'm a recent flip-phone convert) so please bear with.

God bless you.
Which Android version and build number is your phone?
also, which weather app version do you have?
The weather app is the Accuweather that came pre-installed. Version 1.3.A.2.3
The Android version is 8.0.0 (just updated last night, in fact). If I'm reading this right, the Build number is 47.1.A.12.34.
Thank you very much for reporting this.
I wanted to inform you this bug doesn't apply to the latest version: 1.3.A.2.7
However, when I update to that version we get a new version of the "Clock & Weather" widget that has a clock that is just too big.
Thanks for the heads up, I'm still on the previous version, although all apps are up to date, odd.

I downloaded that version from APK Mirror. I downgraded to the version 1.3.A.2.3 because the clock in the new one was too big and ugly. It feels good to be back but the bug is still there.
