Ideas for a new Update? double tap to wake and close? Screen Recorder and other things...

I have ideas for a new update.  Hope the Sony developers see this topic.

1. What about the Screen Recorder? I miss this feature from the z3 compact. Very usefull.

2. double tap to wake and doube tap to close. Why this feature dont exits? Because Battery drain ore difficult because android oreo ?

3. The mini Apps. Its usefull tu use the mini apps. I hope they will come back.

4. A smoothly Brightness regulator? Because its change to aggressive the Brightness.

5. Contact Widget to choose the Favorite Contacts directly , saw it on the older compact phones.

Thanks in advance for answering.

I agree, DTTW and DTTS are perfect.

Z3C had some fine features.

Small apps are my personal favorite.

Notes and Calc are Paramount.

Contact widgets can be found everywhere and screen recording can be substituted with AZ screen recorder.

There is one more wish you didn't mention or know of.

That is night light where the colors turn a bit yellowish to soften your sight.

Good old Z3C Compact (sigh)

How about adding the following to the list?

6.  Shutdown Alarm.  Meaning that the alarm clock will still goes off even if the device is power off

7.  Scheduled Power On/Off.  Meaning that we can set a daily schedule to automatically power on or power off the device

To improve the light sensor, it changes constantly when there is indirect light and abruptly in addition to taking several seconds. It is annoying and did not happen to the z5 compact

Screen recorder, you can use AZ screen recorder.

DTTW and DTTS, one of my favorites.

Small apps, my favorite, it's a pity that Sone dropped it.

Your idea about automatic shutdown is very clever. However a real switch off is never possible, there must be something that is on standby. Same goes for scheduled on/off.

Maybe a standby mode? Or airplane mode?

What about night mode?

A yellowish screen that doesn't blind you in the night when you watch the screen?

It exists, even on some Xperia distributions. (Concept and Omni ROM)

I got this phone 3 days back and initially was impressed . Once i was at work (I work in a clean room most of the time and wear gloves) and realized that this phone has neither Ambient Display (or a similar Notification system) . Is there anyway to activate these two or at least one of the two features?

It is rather annoying to remove my gloves and unlock the phone to check if have any notifications! If there is no fix, i guess i will have no other choice than return this phone Slightly_frowning_Face

It has LED notification in the top left corner. The color of it hints from which app the notification is.

Go in Settings - Apps & notifications - Cofigure notifications  and check if "Blink light" is enabled.

You also should have notifications enabled for the App you want to see notifications from.

Blinking LEDs are not a very elegant solution, i see it as a step backward compared to other phone manufaturers.

I have quite a few messaging apps and mails, the colours supported by the LED are not really enough plus the Blinking LED does not show who has sent the message Winking_Face I do not understand why disable something that is supported by both the chipset and the OS

Oh well, i guess it is back to Motorola for me. A shame, this is such a good phone otherwise
