When I try to register my Fingerprint a message appear to me says that
Fingerprint enrollment time limit reached
Thank you very much for the response, much appreciated. I did try that code mention below. It says fingerprint sensor is OK but still it won't allow me to add any of my fingerprints.
I guess I'd need to bring this to the local service center. I just can't believe, it hasn't been a month since I bought this.
Thanks for the response again. 😢
Hi again @saoirsetine,
Have you also tried to perform the software repair? If you haven't done that I would recommend doing so before handing the phone in for repairs.
If the software in the phone is the cause of this it should be solved with a complete reinstall (software repair).
However, if you experience the same behaviour after the software repair has been completed, your device will need to be examined at an authorized service centre.
Keep me posted!
hey @@saoirsetine, was you able to fix this problem? i succesfully tried the fingerprint test and the software repair but I still reciving the "enrollment time limit reached" message inmediatly, without have the oportunity to even touch the fingerprint button
Hi @victorML, welcome to our forum and I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same behaviour with your Xperia XZ.
Based on the troubleshooting that you have already done, I'm afraid that there is not much else I can recommend except for contacting your Local support team so they can arrange a repair for you since it does sound like it is related to hardware and not software.
If you have any questions regarding warranty, local service routines and so forth, they will gladly assist you with this as well!
Let me know how it went!
Hi @Jonas, thanks for the welcome.
I believe that is more related with software because i had no time to even try to put my finger on the fingerprint button when the reched time limit message is shown. It is more like the time limit is seted to 0 seconds.
No worries. I'm actually not sure though if I can bring it there. I bought my this phone from outside the country. Not sure if I can bring it to the local sony centre. Thanks a lot for the response.
That didn't help me too. Correction BTW, my phone is xperia x performance, not xz. Anyway, no it didn't help me. That's the exact message I'm getting now after doing the same thing that you did. I'm thinking if the restore factory settings I did is different from the hard reset (with code *2767*3855#). If it is, I'm thinking of trying out this code.
Hello again, very sorry for the late reply. I have been out of office due to vacation.
@victorML, If this was related to software, the software repair should have solved this, so if you still experience this behaviour after the software repair has been completed, please get in touch with your Local support team.
@saoirsetine, In this case, your phone will need to be examined at an authorized service centre.
However if you bought the device from another country, please check with your Local support team for further information on how to have your device repaired.
Keep me posted!
I have same problem in my Xperia x too
, hellllllp
Hi @Xperiax1996, sorry to hear about this.
Have you had the chance to try any of the troubleshooting that I have previously suggested in this thread?
If you haven't done that, please do and report back!
