Cannot restore backup after oreo update

Before updating my phone to Oreo, I created a full backup using Xperia Companion. However, when I try to restore it now, after the restore process changes from "restoring settings" to "restoring other", my phone restarts, and the restoration process fails. Is there any known way to fix this?

If the update was made with a different Android version, you won't be able to restore it with Oreo, I'm sorry.
