Enjoying my Xperia XZ1 thouroughly thus far, except for this little annoying bug.
Whenever I turn on "Do not disturb" wether it be on "Alarms only" or "Priority only", the alarms I set simply won't go of. It works fine when I have "Do not disturb" turned off, but phones today go off every hour or so. So "Do not disturb" sadly is an essential feature to work with alarms.
I've tried tried clearing cache and data. Still no alarm.
Is this a known issue? Is it just bad luck? Is this an Android Oreo thing?

Sooo, I just started messing around with the settings some more, In Settings>Sound>Do not Disturb>Block Visual Disturbances>"Block when screen is off" is turned on it should prevent the screen from turning on and apperently it blocks the alarms too.
Personally, I wouldn't call an Audible Alarm a Visual Disturbance, but Google thinks differently.

Maybe it's tied to always on display of Oreo
This needs to be fixed.
Earlier versions allowed the notification light to be disabled but the alarm would still work. I don't need a flashing light next to me while I sleep.
happend to me and i was absent from work for the 2 days in a row!
i cant trust the Stock Alarm app anymore.
now i switched to a diffrent alarm app and no issue so far with DND mode on.
Thank you, I had come here to ask just this and couldn't for the life of me find the setting! (I do wonder if it's not a bug, the block visual disturbances thing says it's for notifications that are already silenced, which alarms shouldn't be in priority.)
I am so with you. This really needs to be fixed. It was perfect in the privious version.
Yeah. Because of this bug I was late in school. This needs to be fixed.
Ive had the same issue and was late to work/school and ended up using my iphone as backup. but its not consistent for me. Sometimes the alarm goes off and other times it does not. I found a page where its mentioned as an android bug that was fixed in a 5.2 update. However Sony hasn't released one for the phones... I'm new to android so not sure if that is normal or not?
Thanks,
Josh
