I have an xz2 for less than a month and I recently recorded some 4k videos and in almost all of them there is a moment where the recording stalls and freezes and resumes.... It comes out looking like a still image while sound is still recording and then will resume movement that matches the sound. I have tried it with and without HDR and same problem. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a problem with all phones or just the one I happened to get?

Thats it.. The head phone was great but i am returning this after my vacation.. Obviously thousands of buyers are affected
Have you try to reinstall the software?
I get the same issue. The video looks much better when recorded with the DJI Go app (with the Osmo Mobile 2).
So it's something in the camera software which needs fixing.
You'd think having a launch feature of worlds first HDR mobile recording Sony could make sure the camera app actually worked.
I returned a SD card to Amazon mistaking the issue for a slow card, but it's the same with a much more expensive fast card.

There is a poll on xda, it is being discovered there are various XZ2 revisions:
REV.1 - 2 - 3- 4 or higher
It would be interesting to know that revision has those who encounter problems with the camera
